Please allow ample time for orders shipped with our standard postal service to be delivered before contacting us for support, once the mail is in the international mail shipping system we have to just wait for delivery to take place. If your order was shipped from mid November to December 23rd, please allow your local post office time to deliver. If your order was for more than one item it might be too large for the mail box, please double check with your postal worker for any larger parcels they might have attempted to deliver.

Orders to the UK over £50 will now be sent via DPD 2 day service to get to you for Christmas and orders over $120 to the USA and Canada will be sent with UPS. European Orders over €150 will be sent with UPS or An Post tracked. This will be upgraded as standard and tracking will be provided. All other mail will go through the local network and be delivered by your local post office. If you need something urgently, please email the office for support. 

At Slugs & Snails we aim to deliver your parcel as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee same day postage but will always aim to post next working day after your order is placed. Standard international mail takes two working days to leave Ireland onto delivery cargo so please take this into account if you need something urgently. 

Some of our children's tights orders come in our Slugs & Snails boxes and some come in standard hanging packaging. If  you would like the items sent as a gift, we are happy to include a gift card and we can also wrap your gift for €1.00 using our high quality wrapping paper. We will confirm your order by email within 24 hours and you will receive an "order complete" email when your order has shipped. PLEASE NOTE, EMAILS TO HOTMAIL AND GMAIL MAIL SERVERS CAN SOMETIMES BE FILTERED INTO SPAM AND JUNK FOLDERS, PLEASE CHECK FOR YOUR CONFIRMATION EMAILS IN THESE FOLDERS.

Please ensure that you enter your correct shipping address at checkout. We can not be held responsible for incorrectly inputted addresses at checkout and we can not redirect your delivery once it has been shipped. If your incorrectly addressed mail is returned to us we reserve the right to invoice for delivery on an alternative shipment. If you input the wrong address and we ship to that address we can not reship your order unless the postal network returns your incorrect address package. Please make sure you double check your shipping address in full before submitting your order. 

This does not affect your statutory rights. 


Please note that items sent via our standard shipping terms of free shipping are sent using our international bulk mail service through An Post. These will then be sent through your local postal network. For orders within the EU no customs or tracking data is uploaded and you will not receive any tracking data. European post and some UK orders will be delivered by your local post office we aim to dispatch within one to two working days and the shipment is then past over to international mail services Europe can take 5-10 working days depending on your location. Please note we can not make ground shipping services move faster in order to keep our shipping cost’s affordable for all our customers we do sometimes have to use ordinary mail services which are not as fast as courier. Please advise us if your order is urgent and we will look for faster shipping options for you. 

For orders to the UK and USA we will complete your customs documents when your parcel is being shipped. This will make sure your parcel isn't held back at customs. You will receive a tracking number starting with UA followed by a series of numbers. We can not track these numbers as they are an internal tracking for the post office but it's also part of your customs clearance

If you receive a tracking number with CA followed by numbers that is a trackable shipment sent with An Post. We will sometimes upgrade shipping to these tracking services where possible depending on location.

Returns & Exchanges

At Slugs & Snails, we want to have happy, warm and cosy customers. We do however, offer a 30 day returns/exchange policy for your peace of mind. All returns or exchanges must be received within 30 days of purchase, unused and complete with tags/packaging and be in a resalable condition. Before returning your item to us, please drop us an email to let us know you wish to return or exchange the item. That way we can be on the look out for it and check alternative stock if it's an exchange. Ideally, please have your order number available. Items should be returned to Slugs & Snails, Cootehall Street, Boyle, County Roscommon, F52 RC90, Republic of Ireland.

We cannot cover the cost of lost or damaged items returned to us so please ensure to send your items using a tracked service or request proof of postage should anything go wrong.

Once we receive your goods, we will aim to confirm receipt, check the condition and process a refund or send your exchanged item immediately.

Refunds will be made using the original payment method.


We accept payment by PayPal, all major Credit Cards and Stripe on our website, you can check out using credit and debit cards without being a member of PayPal by selecting "check out as guest" on the PayPal payment screen.

All payments that you make by credit or debit card are subject to authorisation by your card issuer. If your card issuer does not authorise payment to us, your order will not be accepted and we will email you to let you know. We cannot be responsible for any delay or non-delivery of the products you wished to buy.
